Obedience Instructor - Sarah Cunningham

Sarah is a retired USAF officer who became interested in dog training in 2001. Since that time, she has studied with some of the top trainers in the southeast, attended numerous training seminars and workshops, and put more than two dozen AKC titles in obedience, rally obedience, tracking, and retriever hunt tests on her own dogs.

She began teaching people to train their own dogs in obedience and tracking in 2006. Her training philosophy is positive and aimed at developing the dog-owner relationship while creating a well-mannered dog that an owner can both live with at home and confidently take out in public.

In House Behavioural Training

Instructor - Jenna Summers

Jenna has been training dogs for most of her life. She graduated from UAB with a BA in English and a minor in Psychology in 2016.

For the past several years she has studied dog training methods, trained puppies for a local breeder, and trained her now 1 ½ year old Golden Retriever, Flynn. In just a few months, she will start completing with Flynn in AKC Rally and Obedience.

She uses positive training methods including shaping, marker training, and positive reinforcement to teach dogs to not only obey but enjoy obedience training.

She can teach both puppies and adult dogs basic or advanced obedience, work to improve problem behaviors, and even teach your dog cute tricks.

She tailors her training program towards the specific needs of the individual dog and owner. Her goal is to teach dogs to become well behaved pets and happy obedience partners.
